Summary: This course will provide you with valuable training for your personal needs but does not meet OSHA workplace safety certification requirements. Most courses that do meet those requirements require a hands-on component that is presented by an instructor and the completion certificate you will receive will not be accepted as certified training. For certified training, please register for one of our American Red Cross or American Heart Association certified classes. In this virtual setting you will learn to identify and treat emergencies such as first aid, cardiac and breathing where adults, children and infants are involved. Babysitting Basics
Summary: Intended for young people aged 11 and older. This American Red Cross online only course educates participants to be outstanding babysitters. Subject matter covers care for infants and children. You will learn how to be safe; respond to emergencies; make appropriate age-related selections for toys and games; understand and manage an assortment of behaviors. Participants will also be taught the ABC’s of beginning their own little babysitting business. Using videos, exercises, games, and tools that can be used to enhance effectiveness as responsible and desirable babysitters. Upon successful completion, participants receive an American Red Cross printable certificate Students who successfully complete the course will receive a printable certificate! The course should require about 4 hours to complete which includes a written exam.
