First Aid

First Aid For Severe Trauma

This course course will help you to recognize and treat, severe, life threatening bleeding crisis. Topics covered include how to apply a tourniquet and use of hemostatic dressings among others.

This will include an online assignment as well as additional in class time.

First Aid For Opioid Overdose

Through this course you will learn how to act appropriately to suspected opioid overdose situations. Knowing the signs and symptoms, such as unresponsiveness, will help you determine the appropriate actions that should be taken to prevent the loss of life. The course includes instruction on how to use multiple forms of Naloxone administration devices that reverse the effects of opioid overdose.

This will include an online assignment as well as additional in class time.
